The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be supporting Hockey Fights Cancer™ with a several initiatives throughout the month of November.
The annual campaign has been uniting the hockey community in support of people impacted by cancer and their families since 1998.
The Penguins have hosted special Hockey Fights Cancer nights during each of the past two seasons. But with the start of the 2020-21 season delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the team has taken its awareness and fundraising efforts online instead.
Each Monday during the month, the Penguins’ social media channels will feature graphics and info on how Hockey Fights Cancer™ has assisted individuals and families battling the disease.
Fans can also download and print out Hockey Fights Cancer™ “I Fight For” cards (click here to download) and share them with the team via the form at the bottom of this page. The Penguins will post these on their Facebook and Twitter feeds throughout the month.
The Penguins are also hosting a virtual rafflefor a game-worn Pierre-Olivier Joseph Hockey Fights Cancer™ jersey from the 2019-20 season.
The Penguins want to help you honor a loved one or friend who is battling or who has fought cancer during the month of November.
