WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed defenseman Jack Duff to an amateur tryout agreement.
The six-foot-three, 220-lbs. blueliner spent the past three years playing for the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League. Duff recorded four goals, 14 assists, 18 points and a career-best plus-18 rating in 63 games last season while serving as captain of the Otters.
In 194 career OHL games, the 21-year-old from Kingston, Ontario posted 49 total points (9G-40A) and 183 penalty minutes.
The Penguins’ next game is their 2020-21 season opener, Monday, Feb. 8 against the Binghamton Devils. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.
