The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are proud to announce the kickoff of their second annual “Stuff the Zam” drive, a charitable initiative aimed at supporting the local community through a partnership with United Way. The event will take place on August 1, 2024, at 40 Coal Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
This year, the Penguins are on a mission to stock 34 Nurse’s Pantry programs across 10 local school districts with essential school supplies and hygiene products to ensure students start the school year prepared and confident.
The “Stuff the Zam” drive serves as a platform for the community to come together and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students in need. By donating items such as underwear, socks, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, soap, personal hygiene products, pencils, markers, glue sticks, erasers, backpacks, and other school supplies, individuals can contribute to creating a supportive learning environment for students in the area.
If you are looking to contribute to this worthy cause, consider donating any of the suggested items listed above to help fill the Nurse’s Pantry programs in local schools. Every donation, no matter how big or small, plays a crucial role in ensuring that students have access to the resources they need for academic success.
For more information on how you can get involved and make a difference, please contact Amanda Cromer at [email protected] or call 570-208-5418. Your support is greatly appreciated and will have a lasting impact on students throughout the upcoming school year.
Join the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and United Way in their efforts to empower students and strengthen communities through the “Stuff the Zam” drive. Let’s come together to support education and ensure every student has the tools they need to thrive. Together, we can make a difference!
