The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Joseph Blandisi to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Last night Blandisi, 25, skated in his 12th game with Pittsburgh this season, recording one shot in 9:04 minutes against Columbus. This season he has recorded three points (1G-2A) including the game-winning goal against Minnesota on October 12.
The Markham, Ontario native has also appeared in 12 games for the WBS Penguins this season, recording seven points (3G-4A).
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s next game is Friday, Dec. 13, the first game of a back-to-back set at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse against the Cleveland Monsters. The Penguins’ next home game is Wednesday, Dec. 18 against the Providence Bruins. Puck drop between the Penguins and Bruins is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
