Bonjour Penguins fans!!!
Bonjour is hello in French in case you didn’t know. I recently came back from a trip to Canada where French is the second language there. It was so much fun. I traveled the west side of Canada including Alberta and British Columbia. I drove through the beautiful Rockies and seen some of the most picturesque sceneries. Banff and Jasper are a place you should definitely go at least once in your lifetime. Every corner you turn has colorful scenery of mountains that look like a picture from a magazine. I even got a chance to get up close and personal with a black bear. I asked if he played with Hershey and he said no… whew!
I also went to what was once the largest mall in the world. The West Edmonton Mall (now the Mall of America is the largest in the world). It was so cool they even had a huge water park with tons of water slides and a wave pool. It took almost two days to walk through the whole mall. At the other end of it there was an official sized hockey rink, where the Edmonton Oilers sometimes have had practice. There must have been at least a million stores, or at least it felt like there were.
We went camping, boating, and did some fishing. I think the fishing was my favorite part. We roasted marshmallows. I went to the movies and saw Transformers 2 and ate a ton of popcorn. It was so much fun and I cant wait till I can go visit there again sometime.
Now, who is excited that we are going to have the Stanley Cup Champions here at the Wachovia Arena to play on September the 17th? I can tell you one bird that is pretty excited. ME!!! I can’t wait. I am so excited to see the Stanley Cup and the champions who brought it to us. I wonder if they would let me eat popcorn out of it. That would be really cool. Just think, Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, here in our arena! I must not forget to mention some of the other players that have played here in the past too. Players like Maxime Talbot and Marc Andre-Fleury. It is going to be so much fun. I really hope that the champs rub some of there magic luck dust on us so that we can win the Calder Cup this year.
Well Penguinites, I hope to see a lot of new faces in the crowd this year along with our devoted fans. I also wish, that were going to have an exciting season of hockey ahead of us. I am off to plan for this year’s season. I have a lot of exciting new ideas for entertaining you all. And I cant wait to see everyone.
So until next time…..Seeeeeeeeee-Ya
