GANZAK RECALLED FROM WHEELING

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have recalled defenseman Mitch Ganzak from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced on Thursday.

Ganzak, 25, has posted 10 points (1+9) in 13 games with the Nailers, placing him third on the team at the time of his recall.
He appeared in 64 games with the Nailers last season, reaching the 40-point plateau and achieving a plus-minus rating of plus-13, tied for second on the team.  He also appeared in three AHL contests with Norfolk and Albany on loan, going scoreless.
The 5-11, 200-pound blueliner from Redford, Michigan, appeared in 153 games in four years at Miami University of Ohio (NCAA), recording 101 points (9+92) and 203 penalty minutes with the Redhawks.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will take on the Hartford Wolf Pack tonight, with faceoff set for 7:00 pm at the XL Center.
