KOBASEW SCORES IN OT TO GIVE PENS 3-2 WIN

Chuck Kobasew's goal 7:32 into overtime game the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 3-2 win over the Binghamton Senators in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Wednesday night.  With the victory the Pens took a 2-1 series lead, and can now close out the best-of-five series on home ice this Friday night. SENS SNAP POSTSEASON LOSING STREAK VERSUS PENS

Stephane Da Costa tallied two goals, including the overtime winner, as the Binghamton Senators posted a 4-3, come-from-behind win, over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in Game Two of the American Hockey League Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday night. The win snapped an eight-game postseason losing streak for the Sens against the Pens dating back to 2005, and evened the best-of-five series at one game apiece. Anton Zlobin scored at 8:40 of overtime, giving the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 3-2 win over the Binghamton Senators in Game One of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The win was the eighth straight for the Penguins over the Senators in postseason play, dating back to April 23, 2005. Having reached the Calder Cup Playoffs for the 12th consecutive season, the Penguins’ postseason run begins with a familiar opponent.  For the second year in a row, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Binghamton will throw down in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins think that social media is so cool that they are including a hashtag in their center ice logo as they begin their quest for the 2014 Calder Cup.
